Free Artificial Limb Management Camp Organized by Narayan Seva SansthanMeasurements of hands and legs of 300 Differently-abled Individuals weretakenTransport Minister Chakravarti inaugurate the Camp
Kolkata, November 26 | Minister Chakraborty inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp as the chief guest. He met with disabled individuals and their families from various districts of Bengal, including Howrah, Nadia, Hooghly, Bardhaman, Veerbhoomi, Mushirabad, Siliguri, who had lost their arms and legs in accidents. The Minister praised the exemplary service provided by Narayan Seva Sansthan, stating that it serves as a shining example of humanity. He assured full support for any services the institute would offer to the disabled in West Bengal.
The spokesperson of the institute, Bhagwan Prasad Gaur, and the Relationship Manager, Rakesh Sharma, began the event by presenting the Mewari turban, dupatta, insignia, and insignia of the Chief Guest, Transport Minister. Special guests, including Bengal Man Forum President Nandini Bhattacharya, social worker Ram Awadh Jaiswal, Vishwanath Jaiswal, Kamlesh Divedi, and Vimal Surana, were congratulated and presented with bouquets. The donors contributing to the event were also honoured during this ceremony. Additionally, Voluntary Service Associate Shri Bhoomi Vikas Manch President DC Bhandari and his members received felicitations.
Bhagwan Prasad Gaur and Relationship Manager Rakesh Sharma initiated the ceremony by honouring the chief guest, Transport Minister, and Special Guest Nandini Bhattacharya, Chairperson of Bengal Main Forum. Scarves, emblems, and mementoes were presented to social workers Ramavdh Jayaswal, Vishwanath Jayaswal, Kamlesh Dwivedi, and Vimal Surana in traditional Mewar style. Donors contributing to the camp were also acknowledged during the event.
Narendra Singh, the camp coordinator, reported that 410 individuals with disabilities attended the camp. Out of which, 255 individuals with disabilities were selected for artificial limb Measurements, and 50 were chosen for
callipers, while 16 were selected for surgery. Jasbir Singh, the Camp in charge, mentioned that all individuals with disabilities received free meals, tea, and snacks during the camp. High-quality Narayan limbs would be provided to all these individuals within 45 to 60 days in Kolkata. Hari Prasad Laddha expressed gratitude, and Anchor Mahim Jain played a crucial role in the event.
