Giving information at a press conference at the Press Club on Tuesday, Sasthan Trustee Director Devendra Chaubisa said that the institute has been endeavouring for the past 39 years to assist disabled individuals from various states near their hometown. As part of this effort, Sasthan organized a free artificial limb measurement camp on November 26th last year at Vidhan Garden. Over 400 patients attended, with 350 of them having become disabled after losing their arms or legs due to road accidents or other incidents. During the event, the institute took measurements for artificial limbs for these individuals.

Rajat Gaur, in charge of the Maha Gangotri department of the Sasthan, stated while responding to journalists' questions that for the first time in Kolkata, the institute will provide a new lease of life to over 350 disabled individuals by fitting them with artificial limbs. All of these individuals had become burdens on their families and relatives due to their disabilities. The institute aims to make them self-reliant and integrate them into mainstream society.

Narayan Seva Sansthan has performed successful surgeries on more than 4,50,000 disabled individuals and has provided free artificial arms and legs to over 42,000 accident victims. Similarly, this camp in Kolkata will undoubtedly bring smiles to many saddened faces.

In this camp, various youth and women's organizations of the local Jaiswal community including Shri sahastr Jaiswal Samaj, Arjun Jayanti Celebration Committee, Shiv Parvati Jankalyan Samiti, Siddheshwar Shiv Samaj Sangh, along with more than 18 social service organizations like 108 Praman Sagar Jain Foundation, DB Foundation, Nagrik Swasthya Sangh, and Shri Bhoomi Vikas Manch are associated.
