Athlead International School Launches with Innovative Admission Seminar

Kolkata, May 25, 2024: Athlead International School (AIS) officially launched today with a two-day admission seminar. AIS, a joint venture by Pailan Educational Trust and Shrachi, is a groundbreaking "sports and education" initiative in eastern India, poised to transform academics and sports training. The school aims to integrate academics with sports, offering students holistic benefits such as physical fitness, teamwork, and discipline.

Prominent sports figures like Leander Paes, Sandip Patil, and Bhaskar Ganguly are involved with AIS, ensuring world-class training in tennis, cricket, football, badminton, basketball, swimming, martial arts, and table tennis.

The inaugural seminar attracted many students and parents who actively participated in the counselling sessions. Speaking at the event, Sarmistha Banerjee, Principal, Athlead International School, stated, “Welcome to the grand opening of Athlead International School. AIS is a joint venture between the Pailan Educational Trust and the Shrachi Group. Our vision is to provide a truly holistic education to the students in our state-of-the-art campus - an academic hub-cum-sports village.”

Emphasising on the importance of sports in the overall development of children, Sachin Dhondge, General Manager, Sports & Operations, Shrachi Sports stated, “Sport teaches you character, it teaches you to play by the rules, it teaches you to know what it feels like to win and lose - it teaches you about life.”

AIS boasts exceptional sports infrastructure, including state-of-the-art indoor badminton courts, tennis facilities, a swimming pool, and expansive football and cricket grounds.
